Proud Mother

by Lesley Taylor, Dundee, Scotland, UK

--------------

With four tiny kittens all in a row,
Bonnie, proud Mother, has put on a show,
Well, here they are and what do you think?
I think you should be all tickled pink.

I feed them, I groom them,
I play with them too,
And now let us see,
Their reaction to you.

They snuggle and snuzzle,
They're certainly not shy,
Now just don't you ever,
Tell them goodbye.

They are my sweet kit-bits
And I want them to stay,
So please, my dear human,
Don't take them away.

Well my dear Bonnie
I love them too,
So I think we'll just have to,
Let them stay with you.

This was written for Bonnie - November 1980 - 10 October 2000. She had her only litter when she was 2.5yo and we did keep them all.

Swea-Pea
First born but not quite the full shillin'.

Attilla
Second but second to none in fierceness.

Tiggr (June 1983 - 21 July 1999)
Third and the happiest cat I've ever known.

Whisky (June 1983 - 26 May 1989)
Fourth and final, the only boy and just a gentle giant.
